Black Sands Inn sits on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean in Shelter Cove, on California's Lost Coast, 166 km from Arcata-Eureka Airport. The hotel has direct access to a beach with tide pools, and Black Sands Beach is a 10-minute drive away. Surf Point Bistro is a few steps away at the neighboring inn, and the road into Shelter Cove winds for about 20 miles over a mountain pass.
